As a friend of Alex’s eldest daughter Anna, I first got to know Alex when I was a young teenager and whenever round the Kovacevic’s this big booming voice would bounce down the hallway “ah it’s the youth!” …There he would be with his big broad smile and infectious appetite for all things fun and mischievous. He would fill the room with jokes and stories that would have us all bend over double with laughter. A personal favourite being the time he chased us around the kitchen with a rubber chicken and the time I caught him at the supermarket checkout with one large trolley stacked high with Guinness and another trolley rammed with bottles of milk… he said it was all part of his new diet ! Alex was one of life’s good guys and although we shall miss him, stars that shine as brightly and brilliantly as Alex will never diminish with the passing of time but will forever carry on in our hearts and in our minds xxx
