Alex our great friend and games player we’ll never forget that pinch of snuff that produced the loudest sneezes we have ever heard. Your eccentricities in everything you did, playing recordings of animal sounds just because we refused to let you play that jazz music you so loved. Mahjong nights with a “few” beers and an, Alex Curry, that had to be tamed with a few jars of mango chutney. Your competitiveness did not override your honesty and the need for fair play. It is always you who would point out when anyone had under-scored their own hand. Joan and I have the fondest memories of our games of canasta, “ANY RED THREES” you would bellow in an attempt to bring the girls back to the card table when, they wandered off to inspect the flowers in the garden and a girly chat. We so miss your laughter and sense of humour. Kevin and Joan
